Video Production Services for Charity and NGO's
Fat Beehive Films offer Video and Film Production services for Charity and NGO organisations such as Ataxia UK and Crisis for use on DVD and in websites.
Charity and NGO Promotional Video Production for Websites and DVD distribution
Fat Beehive Films plan, shoot, edit and output film and video content to DVD and encode film and video content for use online in your website.
Promotional films can be as long or short as required and can involve elements of
- documentary
(e.g. filming an activity that your charity is running, our a facility that your charity funds)
- talking heads
(e.g. the charity’s MD talking about your work, a new appeal or direction directly to the camera) - interview
(e.g. a question & answer format with a key or relevant person speaking to an interviewer as opposed to directly to the camera)
Existing footage, Training and Equipment Advice
We can reduce costs and make use of existing resources if your organisation already has video footage available. We worked with Crisis, converting video footage taken over a number of years in various formats and using this to create new films for their website.
If your organisation has staff travelling to other sites or projects of your organisation (for example, overseas projects) we can give training in filming and sound recording techniques allowing us to undertake the post-production (editing, sound addition, captions, titles etc) with the footage shot on their return. This can represent significant cost savings and, in many organisations situation, allow a film to be produced where the cost of sending a film crew out would be prohibitive.
If your organisation is considering regular film making activities (perhaps regular overseas trips where footage can be gained, or production of video podcasts on a regular basis) we can give advice on the equipment to purchase along with training in producing footage or finished films on this equipment.
Pre-Production, Production and Post Production
We plan the film, arrange and undertake production, edit and output the film with our clients.
At every stage we seek to involve the client, maintaining hands on overall direction for the project. See details of our process.
Our Costs
We aim to keep our costs low (perhaps surprisingly low), giving our charity and NGO clients high value professional film making. We manage this through our knowledge of the available tools, meaning we provide high quality sound and image by using the latest equipment which is typically growing in quality (high definition, wide screen, three chip cameras) and falling in price and size!
The fall in the size of video making equipment also allows us to control costs and produce films with just a single camera and sound operator - as opposed to a 2-4 man crew.
Timescales
Projects are tailored to your needs, timescales and budgets, allowing video production for charity and NGOs to be an attainable, powerful communication tool.
